Job Jar has created this Privacy Policy in order to provide our users with a clear understanding of how we operate the web site/Facebook application (app) and handle your personal information as well to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for our website, including the types of personal information we gather when you use our services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard it. Information Collection and Use. When you visit and navigate our site, we will not collect any personal information about you unless you provide us that information voluntarily. Personal information includes your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and/or credit card as well as any information you allow us to access when accepting our Facebook app. We collect information from users at several different points on our site and are the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. The Job Jar site/app contains links to other sites. Job Jar is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of websites that link to or from Job Jar.

Registration and Order Forms. In order to use some of our services, users must become a registered user by first completing the New User registration form or logging in with a Facebook user name and password and accepting the app. This registration form requires users to supply their contact information (i.e. name and address) and financial information (i.e. credit card number). We use this customer contact information to send information to our registered users about the services for which they have subscribed. We use the financial information collected to verify the user's identity and to bill the user for products and services.

Cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Job Jar uses cookies in the Member Services areas of our site to save users' passwords so that they don't have to re-enter it each time they visit the Member Services area of the site. Cookies on our site are in no way linked to any personally identifiable information. While browsing through our site, you may get cookies from our advertisers or sponsors. We do not control these cookies or the cookies that you may get from sites linked to ours when you visit them.

Log Files. We use your IP (Internet Provider) address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. We use IP addresses to analyze trends and gather broad demographic information for aggregated use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Data Sharing. We do not give out, sell, rent or otherwise disseminate registered user address or credit card information without consent, except if: (a) we have your consent, (b) we provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing personally identifying information on our behalf, (c) when we need to deliver a product or service that a registered user has ordered, (d) to comply with valid legal process, to the extent permitted and as restricted by law, or (e) when disclosure is required to maintain the security and integrity of this our website, or to protect any user's security or the security of other persons, consistent with applicable laws. 
  1. In addition, as a facilitator of online sales, Job Jar may provide personal information of registered users to the vendors involved in the associated sales event.
  2. We may occasionally share aggregated non-personally identifiable user demographic information with our partners and advertisers (such as anonymous usage data, referring URLs, number of clicks, etc.). This is not linked to any personal information that can identify an individual person.
  3. We use an outside credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
  4. We may store and process personal information collected on our site in the Canada, the United States or any other country in which Job Jar or its affiliates maintain facilities. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information among these facilities, including those located outside your country. 
  5. In the event of a transfer of ownership of Job Jar, such as acquisition by or merger with another company, we will provide notice before any personally identifying information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. 

Links to Other Websites. This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Job Jar is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites which link to or from Job Jar. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of every website they visit that collects personally identifiable information.

Security. Job Jar has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We take every precaution to protect our users' information. 

  1. Online. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and is protected with SSL encryption software.
  2. Offline. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take precautions to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only authorized employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.
  3. No guaranty. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we cannot and do not guaranty that our site and our offices are immune from invasion and the wrongful obtaining of your personal information. In the event of such wrongful taking, we will endeavor to notifdy you of such theft in a timely manner.

Correspondence With Users. We send all registered users an email confirming their password, username and service selection each time they change their service selection or create/update their profiles. We also send site and service announcement updates that contain important information about the services on our website. In addition, our Customer Support Department may, as the individual situation warrants, communicate with users via telephone or email to provide them with services they have requested or to follow-up on issues relating to their account. When you register as a user of Job Jar, you agree to receive communications from Job Jar. We do not sell, rent or otherwise provide our registered users email addresses to third parties. However we occasionally send emails to our registered users informing them of our new products and services or special promotions. Users who do not wish to receive this correspondence may unsubscribe from receiving such information at any time.
 
Correcting/Updating Personal Information. Registered users can update their address or credit/debit card information at any time by logging into the My Account area of the site (using their Username and Password) and then clicking edit in the "My Profile" section.

Note To Parents. At Job Jar we are aware that many children may want to visit us on the Internet. Although we welcome browsing, we ask that only individuals who are over the age of 18 register on our site. If we learn that we inadvertently have collected identifying personal information from an individual under the age of 18, we will promptly delete that information from our system.

Changes to This Privacy Policy. Our privacy policy is posted on the bottom of each page of our site. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will update our privacy policy and endeavor to notify our registered users via email.
