| Stormy Beginnings One stormy week in April, 2011, one of JobJar's Founders discovered that his rental property in Florida had a massive flood due to an over-stressed plumbing system. While up to his ears in water on a number of other issues, our Founder wasted an inordinate amount of time trying to find a qualified and reliable plumber - or any available plumber for that matter - to get the leak fixed. Sure, there were sites that listed and reviewed plumbers, but that didn't solve his issue. "Wouldn't it be great", he thought, "if there was a site where I didn't have to do the work or waste time searching - If there was a place where these tradespeople looked for me? Where they would actually bid on my job, and work within my schedule?" Simply having a site where people are reviewed still falls short of solving your real problems. This was our Founder's eureka moment! The real problems are: Wasting time searching, Wasting time calling and re-calling and playing phone tag, And getting quotes, And even then, you don't know if they can do the job when you need them to. Problem Solved: For homeowners, JobJar is all about solving the age-old issue of trying to get a job done. For contractors, JobJar is about a steady pipeline of eager, qualified clients, ready to award them steady work. It's a win-win and for the team at JobJar, an exciting new start.
